A reconstruction of an old bulwark, a place with a wide view over the surroundings,
one could see a traveler, merchant or enemy coming from far away.
Nowadays the view has been blocked by high urbanisation. The panorama vanished,
one is forced to concentrate on details.
By taking details from far away I want to restore the panorama.
A ring of 50 cm. broad, which contains a circle with a diameter of 2 meter, exists of
6 bronze parts (5 x 50 x 50/25 cm.) in which you can see a groundprint of places in
the surroundings of Goes which I chose because of their interesting structure.
You see parts of nature, which one uses for touristical, agrarian or other economic
purpose out of a period in which this happens most.
may the dikes with flowers in Z- Beveland - Nisse - 6,5 km.
june the beach, where one can find a lot of fossils - Kaloot - 16 km.
july the stones along the shoreline - Veerse Meer - 10 km.
aug. the muddy shores - Goese Sas - 4,5 km.
sept. the mussels- and oisters-banks - Yerseke - 11 km.
okt. the orchard with fruit-trees - Kapelle - 5,5 km.
As observer you are in the middle of the circle, look around and become aware of
the surroundings of Goes. Like at all viewpoints distance will become nearer, though
this time not by the big view, but by details so that you yourself are translocated.
