Using several different textile techniques I have reproduced 8 body processes on these silk veils, body processes such as hormonal activity, aspiration, digestion, and the skeletal, nervous, circulatory , lymph and muscular systems.
Shadow life also refers to the unconscious processes in the body. The veils are transparent and so light that they move with each movement of the air in the space, fragile and brief. If the work is illuminated the embroidered or applied parts also throw a shadow. If this happens by means of daylight in the course of the day and also with the changing of the seasons the shadow characters will differ constantly as variable as life itself.
